This portfolio will showcase several different types of projects, but what kinds of projects?

The design of a product’s aesthetics? Well…sure, that’s the stereotype and I’ve done plenty of that. However, a product’s aesthetics is only one of the many elements a designer works on.

To better explain what my job entails, let’s look into this question: what does a designer actually do?

Design

holistic
approach

I start by identifying the problem and researching the market I’ll work on.

For bigger projects, I start by taking a bird’s eye view of the market and identify the areas where improvements are either expected or needed to maximize unexpressed potentials.

After doing research, I then sit down with the client to understand their specific needs and concerns. This step is crucial since a great designer will always prioritize their client’s needs.

In a sector where multiple supply chains and services already individually focus on their area of expertise, it’s my job as a designer to bring everyone together. A successfully coordination will benefit the environment, economy, and society.

Projects can have a variety of different forms that include social media campaigns, digital media, a physical product, and a service. In any case, the focal point is the visual communication of the project.

Storytelling

Every form of communication has a specific goal and target audience it wants to reach.

Examples include: leafing through a book, admiring a high quality printed photo, watching documentaries, being part of a successful social campaign, playing a videogame and immersing oneself in VR and AR.

There is a way to make people experience all of these regardless of the platform they use through one field of design: web design. Anyone with a web browser can be part of this magic.
